With the first 30 days in the books, your newly elected City of Brookhaven Government has been working feverishly to lay the foundation for our city. From the kick-off City Council meeting held at St. Martins at 12:01 AM on December 17th, the pace has been that of a sprint rather than a marathon.
Crafting city ordinances, selecting vendors and awarding contracts - coupled with settling in to a City Hall, getting outfitted with computers, office space, furniture, etc., - and simply feeling out their new roles and responsibilities as our representatives - has been a large portion of the activity of our newly elected officials.
So this leaves us to ponder, "What has been accomplished in the first 30 days?" Combing through the past agendas, The Post has compiled this list of items that have been approved and/or acted upon by the Mayor, City Council and Administration. Click "Read More" for the complete list.
